SYSTEM MAINTENANCE – ACC-APG ABERDEEN PROVING GROUNDS
The United States Army Signal Network Enterprise Center-Fort Belvoir (USASNEC-FB) needs the contractor to perform repairs and maintenance on the National Capital Region Land Mobile Radio (NCR LMR) system infrastructure and provide an IA – and LMR-trained senior level on-site technician. NCR LMR operates a Harris P25 Narrowband 6.2.1 LMR System and requires 24/7 (24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays) maintenance with 4-hour on site response to system failures. This support shall include technology refreshment (software support), Information Assurance updates, and maintenance of all infrastructures. USASNEC-FB requires that the contractor provide all qualified personnel, material, tools, test equipment, and other items necessary to perform this service. The repair and maintenance shall include software maintenance, information assurance updates, infrastructure maintenance, and preventive maintenance as required for the continued 24/7 operation of the LMR system.
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM (SYEP)

The SYEP provides an array of summer enrichment experiences that consists of Arts, Design and Media, Building and Grounds Maintenance, Community and Social Services, Construction Trades, Education, Training and Library Science, Health Care Support, Hospitality and Tourism, Office and Administration Support and Sports and Physical Education. When this program ran into the need for strategic planning services, they contracted MOTIR IT to provide contract information technology strategic support, gap analysis and planning services. In addition, we were contracted to provide additional IT staff to help support its email, data and network migration.
SYNCHRONOUS OPTICAL NETWORK (SONET) COMPONENTS PROJECT
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA OFFICE OF THE CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER/DC-NET
Under the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, DC-NET is a fiber optic telecommunications network providing infrastructure support to the District of Columbia. It is a resilient fiber optic ring eventually connecting over 400 governmental and semi-governmental buildings. DC-NET is built on “State of the Art” SONET (Synchronous Optical Network) components, plus optical fibers from various providers and delivers a fully redundant, high-quality, transport network–capable of carrying voice, data, video and wireless communications for the District of Columbia. Motir IT provided strategic planning services to this project after the project ran into financial trouble due to budget overruns. Over an 18 month period, we have helped DC-NET transform the performance of its mission. An initial diagnostic showed the agency had an opportunity to grow, but that improving its value proposition to other agencies, so as to win more business from them, was critical. By transforming the operating model through technology and process improvement, DC-NET created a unique offering while reducing operating costs.
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA OFFICE OF UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS (OUC)
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA HOMELAND SECURITY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
Motir was contracted by Precision Infrastructure, Inc. to provide strategic planning services needed to build and configure an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for their Operations Division. The EOC is the city’s main operational control and communications facility during an emergency, disaster or special event. The center utilizes the latest information system software to monitor the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services emergency communications systems and is linked via teletype to the National Weather Service, the Washington Area Warning System (WAWAS) and the National Warning System (NAWAS).
