EMMANUEL O. IRONO

Emmanuel O. Irono, a strategic visionary and social entrepreneur, is the Founder, President and CEO of MOTIR Services, Inc. Mr. Irono oversees a dynamic management team and provides executive leadership on strategic planning, business development and financial management for MOTIR. He also serves as Chairman of TIS Foundation, MOTIR’s non-profit and social impact affiliate of the company. 

Mr. Irono transformed a struggling janitorial company purchased for $10,000.00 in 1994 into a $50 million-dollar profit generator. Today, MOTIR successfully delivers a customized array of services to government, military, commercial, and private sector clients in the areas of facilities maintenance, landscaping and janitorial services, design-build construction, environmental and engineering services, medical staffing, consulting and IT operations. As a full service, Washington-based contracting support services company, MOTIR has an established reputation for high integrity and performance in delivering support to the highest levels of government in the U.S. and Nigeria.

As the President and CEO of MOTIR, Mr. Irono was chosen as a DC Chamber of Commerce 2019 Small Business Champion of the Year.  Mr. Irono was also awarded the Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council (CRMSDC) 2018 Top 100 Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) for his transformational efforts in building a successful Small Business Enterprise. 

Emmanuel’s own journey from humble beginnings in Nigeria to success in social entrepreneurialism began with a rich academic background earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Elizabeth City State University and Master of Business Administration in Finance from Morgan State University. Mr. Irono holds distinguished corporate and non-profit board appointments with OCI International, United Way, National Black United Fund and Tahirih Justice Center, Southeast Children’s Fund and professional affiliations with Certified Financial Managers Association, Leadership Washington and Who’s Who is U.S. Business.
