MOTIR Construction was the general contractor for 22 store fronts on 14th street, NW Washington, DC. The work required the demolition of the existing security screens, windows, doors and facade and installation of commercial grade aluminum storefront windows and doors. The contract required MOTIR Construction to make repairs and paint the existing buildings’ street façade. All work was done with the businesses remaining in operation. LEDC’s goal of facade projects is to improve the physical appearance of largely Latino business corridors, making them more attractive to shoppers and new investment, thus increasing wealth and employment opportunities for the Latino community.
